Dundee is Scotland's fourth largest city with a current population of around 150000 people, and has been around since Medieval times. It had its heyday in the 19th century when it was famed for jute, jam and journalism. It is now promoted as City of Discovery, being the resting place of Captain Scott's Antarctic exploration ship of that name.
